  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">In 2015 Skomer Marine Nature Reserve changed designation to Skomer Marine Conservation Zone (MCZ). Skomer Marine Nature Reserve (MNR) was designated in 1990. Salinity is recorded from the sea bed and in a water column profile from a single site in the MNR. Records began in Jul 1992 and have continued to date. The purpose of this data capture was to record the oceanographic qualities of the surrounding sea water.</dc:description>
