<dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">The Sea Empress oil tanker ran aground at the entrance to Milford Haven on the 15th of February 1996 and proceeded to spill over 70,000 tonnes of crude oil into the sea. The purpose of data capture of this data capture was to investigate the changes in community structure following the oil spill and identify any differences between the two sites monitored. Two permanent quadrats established prior to the spill at West Angle Bay and Manorbier Bay were both severely impacted however neither were subjected to cleaning. This provided an ideal opportunity for pre and post spill monitoring, the results of which are presented in this dataset.</dc:description>
