Information has been collated to produce a series of maps of sea fishing activities in Wales complete with regulatory boundaries (12nm, 6nm and 3nm). The purpose of this dataset was to provide spatial information for a range of fishing activities occurring in Welsh waters. 

Activities mapped are: 

- Beam trawling and scallop dredging 
- Mussel, oyster and hydraulic dredging 
- Otter trawling 
- Light demersal trawls and seines 
- Pelagic trawling, drift nets and hook and line fishing 
- Static gear fishing
- nets and long line 
- Static gear fishing
- pots 
- Hand gathering 
- Aquaculture 

The dataset includes maps and a text description of each activity.</dc:description>
