  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">In 2015 Skomer Marine Nature Reserve changed designation to Skomer Marine Conservation Zone (MCZ). Skomer Marine Nature Reserve (MNR) was designated in 1990. The results of a survey aimed at describing the major littoral habitats and selected special sites, together with their communities, found around Skomer Island and the Marloes peninsula. The purpose of this data capture was to provide information on the range and distribution of littoral habitats and communities to aid in the drafting of the management plan necessary for the establishment of a Statutory Marine Nature Reserve.</dc:description>
