  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">The results of a survey of the littoral and sub-littoral regions around Bardsey Island carried out in 1977. Bardsey Island was being offered for sale in 1977 therefore this survey was initiated in order to gain knowledge of the littoral and sub-littoral surroundings of the island in case public access to the areas was denied by subsequent owners. The data captured was also used to detect any changes since previous surveys and to investigate whether the shores of Bardsey offered a suitable site for a Marine Nature Reserve.</dc:description>
