  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">The data was captured in order to assess the suitability of the biotope classification monitoring method trialled. A measure biotope richness as an attribute of north Pen Llyn reefs, was measured over three surveys transects between July and August 1998. Surveyors were experienced in Phase 2 survey methodology and each record was carefully re-examined by an experienced operator to ensure that data were comparable to those assigned to biotopes in the national classification, therefore were correctly assigned.</dc:description>
