  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">This dataset contains the results of a macro-invertebrate survey of the Glaslyn/Dwyryd estuary undertaken in 1978 in order to better understand the ability of the estuary to receive wading birds that may be displaced by barrage construction. The purpose of this data capture was to assess the capacity of the estuary to receive wading birds that might be displaced from other estuaries on the Irish Sea flyway by barrage construction. Data capture also helped to obtain data relevant to the management of the adjacent Morfa Harlech National Nature Reserve and enabled collection of data on the marine fauna of the area.</dc:description>
