  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">This dataset consists of the result of a sublittoral survey carried out in the Menai Strait during 1982 to investigate the habitats and communities present. The dataset contains site descriptions (name, location, depths surveyed, site features etc), lists of all algae and animal species observed and habitat data. The purpose of this data capture was to investigate the sublittoral ecosystems of the Menai Strait and to determine the range and distribution of habitats and communities present within the Menai Strait and on adjacent open coasts. Original survey forms are held by NRW, mobilised data is available through the JNCC distributed Marine Recorder snapshot</dc:description>
