  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">In 2015 Skomer Marine Nature Reserve changed designation to Skomer Marine Conservation Zone (MCZ). Skomer Marine Nature Reserve (MNR) was designated in 1990. Data collected during the development and implementation of low budget stereo-photographic monitoring of rocky subtidal epibenthic communities in within Skomer marine reserve. The data includes descriptions of communities present and subsequent changes in these communities over a one year period (1982 - 1983). The Skomer subtidal monitoring project was established as an ongoing project however this dataset includes the results from the first year only. Purpose of this data capture was to locate and permanently mark suitable monitoring stations and to observe and record the topography and epibenthic communities present in order to enable the assessment of the natural fluctuations in subtidal communities.</dc:description>
