Skomer Marine Reserve Sublittoral Habitats and Communities 1983 dataset https://portal.medin.org.uk/portal/start.php?tpc=007_NRW_DS111159 In 2015 Skomer Marine Nature Reserve changed designation to Skomer Marine Conservation Zone (MCZ). This dataset contains the results of the survey of 44 sublittoral survey sites around the Skomer Marine Reserve during 1983. 111 species of plant and 276 animal species were noted (27 species of algae and 27 species of animal were previously unrecorded from the area). The purpose of this data capture was to collect information necessary to provide revised descriptions of habitats and communities for the Skomer Marine Reserve (SMR) and to continue the SMR seaweed survey (first started in 1982) in order to provide information on algal communities around the reserve and to provide quantitative information on seaweed communities. 19841231
