Skomer Sublittoral Habitats and Communities 1984 dataset https://portal.medin.org.uk/portal/start.php?tpc=007_NRW_DS111170 In 2015 Skomer Marine Nature Reserve changed designation to Skomer Marine Conservation Zone (MCZ). This dataset contains the results of surveys of habitats and communities from 90 previously unsurveyed or poorly described sites around Skomer Marine Reserve. The dataset includes site locations, grid references, site descriptions and site maps; habitat information; community categories and species distributions. The purpose of this data capture was to add to the results of past surveys in collecting the information necessary to provide revised descriptions of habitats and communities for the whole reserve. A major aim of the survey was to produce more photographs of species and habitats in the reserve. The survey spanned the period between the 7th of March and the 6th of September 1984, with the majority of survey work undertaken in the summer months, specifically August. 19851231
