  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">In 2015 Skomer Marine Nature Reserve changed designation to Skomer Marine Conservation Zone (MCZ). Skomer Marine Nature Reserve (MNR) was designated in 1990. This dataset is a collation of previously unpublished information concerning species and habitat records from Skomer MNR and review and assess the conservation importance of faunal species (emphasis on difficult groups of marine infauna e.g. sponges and sea squirts). Some of the information dates from 1975 however most has come from an expedition to Skomer in July 1987 and a series of diving workshops at Dale Fort Field Centre between 1988 and 1991. The data is chiefly from the seas around Skomer but records from nearby areas of the Pembrokeshire coast are also included.</dc:description>
