<dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">Following the Sea Empress grounding in Milford Haven on February the 15th 1996, it was decided that a programme of monitoring was required to assess the impact of the oil on the coasts of Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire. This dataset contains the results of rockpool monitoring carried out for a year following the spillage to assess community changed caused by the oil spill. The data collected was used to assess community changes caused by the oil spillage. It was thought rockpool monitoring was particular suitable for this purpose because rockpools are diverse in physical characteristics, occur at different height on shores, contain a range of biota, and are relatively easy to re-locate.</dc:description>
