Establishment of Permanent Quadrats at Skomer Marine Conservation Zone ( MCZ ) dataset https://portal.medin.org.uk/portal/start.php?tpc=007_NRW_DS111311 In 2015 Skomer Marine Nature Reserve changed designation to Skomer Marine Conservation Zone (MCZ). Skomer Marine Nature Reserve (MNR) was designated in 1990. A detailed survey of the shores of Skomer Marine Nature Reserve was carried out in 1982. This dataset contains the results of an exercise carried out in 1992 to repeat some of the littoral transects surveyed in 1982 and establish permanent quadrats at six sites. The purpose of this data capture was to: - to establish six permanent littoral monitoring sites at locations surveyed in the 1982 littoral survey. - survey the sites and where appropriate compare with the results of the 1982 littoral survey. - photograph the general appearance of the site for relocation purposes and photograph the quadrats at specified intervals along the transects at each site. 19930301
