  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">This dataset is a collation of the results of a survey aimed at studying the population of the broad sea fan Eunicella verrucosa at Skomer Marine Reserve. The dataset also contains data on a number of other species of interest and previously unsurveyed areas of the reserve. The purpose of this data capture was: - Provide information on the distribution and abundance of E. verrucosa around Skomer and determine habitat preferences. - Investigate the size of individual E. verrucosa and the population age structure. - Study the epibionts of E. verrucosa. - Study orientation and growth form of E. verrucosa colonies in a variety of environmental conditions. The survey also aimed to tag and photograph E. verrucosa for future monitoring, record the occurrence and abundance of various species of interest and survey some additional areas around Skomer Marine Reserve for which there was little or no information.</dc:description>
