Intertidal Mapping Project (Updating Marine Intertidal Phase 1 Biotope Mapping Survey) dataset https://portal.medin.org.uk/portal/start.php?tpc=007_NRW_DS114453 The Phase 1 Intertidal project was completed in 2005 and maps finalised (see metadata record 24333), however since 2005 selected of areas have been re-mapped as up-to-date information was required for casework and other needs. There is a need to incorporate these newly mapped areas with the original Intertidal data layer and make it available as the most up-to-date data source. A decision was made to only incorporate newly mapped areas or sites and not individual habitats, such as, Sabellaria reefs. The purpose of this data capture was to update the Phase 1 Intertidal biotope and target note layers. From 2005 onwards for updates, but the original sites were mapped from April 1996. The methodology and the maps have undergone quality control independently, but the combined final output has not. The data available to the public under an Open Government Licence has some information redacted. An un-redacted version can be requested and may be provided under NRW licence. 20101008
