<dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">A polygon layer showing the boundary of vegetated shingle sites. A GIS layer was generated in 2012 from paper maps from the 1993 JNCC report by Sneddon and Randall. The purpose of this data capture is to generate an electronic version of the data and make it easily available for reporting purposes. The surveys focused on the vegetation of stony banks and did not attempt to map strandline communities; therefore the site boundary is not a true representation of the extent of the Shingle Ridge.</dc:description>
