Inventory of Marine Intertidal Phase 1 Biotope Mapping Survey Sites 1996 - 2005 dataset https://portal.medin.org.uk/portal/start.php?tpc=007_NRW_DS24263 This dataset comprises of an Microsoft Excel spreadsheet listing all intertidal sites surveyed by the Intertidal Team as part of the Marine Phase 1 Intertidal Phase 1 Mapping Survey. It provides a summary of site code, site name, the year surveyed, the extent of the site (grid refs), which Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) guidelines the site was assessed and qualified under, if any, and the original version of the biotope classification the site was surveyed under. The purpose of this data capture was to assist with the management of the of Marine Intertidal Phase 1 Biotope Mapping Survey and to provide manageable areas to assist with the assessment of the intertidal for the potential of designating SSSIs. Data collection started in 1996 and finished in 2005. The site names, codes and boundaries remain constant but the qualifying guidelines may go out of date if further assessments are done. The spreadsheet should be updated in line with any future assessments. 20051031
