  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">This dataset contains the results of a study into the use of airborne remote sensing to produce a comprehensive thematic map of biotope and sediment type distribution in the Mawddach estuary. The purpose of this data capture was to be able to report on the condition of the Mawddach estuary a number of provisional attributes have been identified which may require monitoring e.g. the relative proportion of sandy and muddy biotopes and distribution of major communities. This project investigated the possibility of using remotely sensed data to provide a contextual overview of broad-scale attributes in a monitoring programme.</dc:description>
