  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">These sample data are from sediment cores collected in the North Sea and the 
Celtic Seas on three surveys undertaken between 2023 and 2024 using a NIOZ 
(Royal Netherlands Institute for Sea Research design) Box Corer during 3 
surveys conducted by the Research Vessel (RV) Cefas Endeavour. Samples were 
analysed for and data presented for TOxN (Total Oxidized Nitrogen = nitrate + 
nitrite), nitrite, soluble reactive silicate (SRS), orthophosphate, and 
ammoniacal nitrogen (ammonia + ammonium) and used to estimate nutrient fluxes 
between the seabed and overlying water column.</dc:description>
