  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">This survey was carried out in the English Channel between 26th June to 21st 
July 1992 by the Centre for Environment, Fisheries and Aquaculture Science. 
Its aim was to locate a patch of crab (*Cancer pagurus*) larvae in 
unstratified water in the English Channel in order to study the vertical 
distribution. Plankton samples were collected at each site on a planned survey 
grid. This data consists of the numbers of crab larvae, along with associated 
positional data and volumes filtered, of the main net samples. Also includes 
LHPR sample numbers.</dc:description>
