  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">This survey was carried out in January 1987 as part of the International 
Council for the Exploration of the Sea (ICES) co-ordinated herring larval 
survey of regions IVc and VIId (southern North Sea and eastern English 
Channel). Plankton samples were collected at each site on a planned survey 
grid. Clupeid larvae were identified and enumerated. Associated positional 
data and volumes filtered also included.</dc:description>
