<dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">During the May, June and July 2010, the fishing vessel *Marbella *carried
out commercial fishing for Greenland cod (*Gadus morhua*) off the east coast
of Greenland. Some hauls were targeted at Greenland halibut *(*
*Reinhardtius hippoglossoides*). The purpose of this report is to fulfil the
Greenlandic Authorities’ requirement to present observer-collected information
on cod (for details see below), so the results for Greenland halibut (and
other species taken) are not presented.

In all, 116 tows targeting cod were carried out in two areas off the east
coast of Greenland, of which 46 where sampled for length and 40 of the 46 for
otoliths and other biological information. Discarded cod amounted to just
0.08% of the total catch of the species (some of these fish were damaged on
hauling and processing).</dc:description>
