  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">This survey was carried out in January 1994 in the Eastern English Channel and 
Southern North Sea to study the transport, feeding and condition of herring 
larvae. Plankton samples were collected at each site on the survey grid. This 
data consists of the numbers of herring larvae and other zooplankton, along 
with associated positional data and volumes filtered.</dc:description>
