Survey : CIRO 10/93 (part of North Sea Groundfish Survey, Qtr 4 (FSS: IBTS4E)) series https://portal.medin.org.uk/portal/start.php?tpc=009_CEFAS52a6adbd-605d-4375-8fd7-43cb0d1ecfc3 This survey was undertaken by Cefas as part of the North Sea Groundfish Survey, Qtr 4 (FSS: IBTS4E); Approximately 70 core trawl stations are completed annually to provide distribution and stock composition estimates for fish species. Station, catch, length (all species) and biological data (selected species) are collected using research vessels and GOV trawls. Benthic catches are also recorded. The surveys are carried out in support of EU data regulations and as part of the Internation Bottom Trawl survey. Additional aims include collection of water temperature, salinity and litter data. Survey took place between 01/10/1993 and 14/11/1993 on Cirolana Equipment used during this survey : - Beam Trawl 2m shrimp net fryma liner 3 chains x - Bottle Casts Nansen bottles Reversing surface and bottom - Otter Trawl GOV Long Wing 36/47 Standard IYFS Spec. Survey operations were undertaken on 150 stations 80 different species were caught on this survey 20160623 20160622
