  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">A series of surveys were carried out from 2004 to 2011 by the Centre for 
Environment, Fisheries and Aquaculture Science at the Smart Buoy site in the 
eastern Irish Sea, deployed from RV Prince Madog. The aim of each survey was 
to collect 10 vertical zooplankton ringnet samples at Site A to determine 
species diversity and abundance. This data consists of the numbers of 
zooplankton, along with associated positional data and volumes filtered.</dc:description>
