<dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">These sample data are from sediment cores collected using a NIOZ (Royal
Netherlands Institute for Sea Research design) Box Corer during 3 surveys
conducted by the Research Vessel (RV) Cefas Endeavour. Samples were analysed
for and data presented for lead-210 ( 210Pb), polonium-210 (210Po),
caesium-137 (137Cs), radium-226 (226Ra), radium-228 (228Ra), and
potassium-40 (40K)and used to help validate the range of sediment
accumulation rates observed in the top 30 cm of the core (e.g., 137Cs) and
assess any potential mineralogical changes across the studied core segment
(e.g., 40K).</dc:description>
