  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">Concentration of organic carbon and organic nitrogen from CHN analysis of 
sediment samples collected by box core from sites in the English Channel and 
North Sea during three surveys on RV Cefas Endeavour (Cruise Codes CEND 15/09, 
CEND 11/10 and CEND 11/11), with associated summary PSA data (%gravel, %sand, 
%mud). Mostly UK waters in coverage but some data from the Oyster Grounds 
(Dutch waters). Cores were sliced and sampled at a range of depth horizons and 
the data compiled to provide average values for the 0-5 cm and 5-10cm depth 
layers. These were used to summarise profiles and describe spatial variance 
within four Ecohydrodynamic Units (EHUs).</dc:description>
