for the Exploration of the Sea (ICES) coordinated herring larvae survey of 
ICES Regions IVc and VIId (Southern North Sea and Eastern English Channel). 
Plankton samples were collected at each site on a planned survey grid. Dataset 
consists of the numbers and lengths of herring, sprat and pilchard larvae, 
along with associated positional data and volumes filtered.</dc:description>
