<dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">Data from an FSP trip directed at deep-water fish species to the west of
Scotland, where some of the stocks are considered to be severely depleted e.g
orange roughy (*Hoplostethus atlanticus*) in ICES Subarea VI and blue Ling
(*Molva dypterygia*) in ICES areas Vb,VI, VII.

Station, catch, length (all species) and All catches (retained and discarded)
were recorded as numbers by species. Length data were recorded for all species
and maturity data were recorded for blue ling. Otoliths and fin samples of
blue ling were taken for age determination studies and DNA analysis (for
future stock structure studies), respectively.</dc:description>
