  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">Annual research vessel surveys in the Western English Channel using 4m beam 
trawls in support of EU data regulations and as part of an ICES funded 
research program. Randomly selected survey position design. In 2012 the survey 
coverage was extended to cover the Celtic Sea using both the 4m beam trawl and 
the GOV trawl. In 2013 the survey returned to using the 4m beam trawl only. 
Data captured include station details, catch, length (all species) and 
biological (selected species) data. Additional aims include collection of 
benthic, water temperature and salinity and acoustic data.</dc:description>
