  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">Eastern IFCA (and its predeccesor, ESFJC) have conducted stock assessment surveys of cockle (Cerastoderma edule) every two years from 2001-2009 (excluding 2005), and then annually since 2009 along both the River Stour and River Orwell, Suffolk. The aim of the surveys has been to undertake a stock assessment of the cockles to identify any potential commerical stocks.</dc:description>
