<dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">The aim of this study was therefore to establish monitoring transects at a series of rocky shore sites that represent the range of rock features and biotopes present in the cSAC, and to carry out a baseline survey of them so that the communities of animals and plants can be monitored in future years. A total of 12 transects sites were established and surveyed, between Pettico Wick near St. Abbs and Boulmer in Northumberland. The transects were fixed using a range of techniques that should enable future surveyors to relocate the defined areas easily and accurately. The site location sheets are given in an Appendix to this report.</dc:description>
