  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">Report following the survey of seagrass, Zostera spp., within the Cowes harbour entrance. The surveys purpose was to quantify the spatial extent and distribution of both the subtidal and intertidal seagrass beds. The seagrass condition was also observed to establish a baseline for future impact assessment. In addition, associated species are listed. This information is needed to make informed decisions on how best to mitigate seagrass loss as a result of dredging the harbour entrance (which is proposes).</dc:description>
