  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">This catalogue contains records for all the specimens contained in the MBA Herbarium, which includes:
 - Rhodophyceae: more than 2500 records/specimens
 - Phaeophyceae: more than 1000 records/specimens
 - Chlorophyceae: more than 300 records/specimens
 - Lichens: more than 700 records and 90 specimens.
 The records include taxonomic information (genera and species) as well as information on the collector and identifier of each specimen, and the date and location of the collection. The vast majority of records from the British Isles, however some are from France and Spain.
 The database also includes information on the availability of specimens in other herbaria.</dc:description>
