In the course of a survey of the fauna of the Borrow Dykes of north east Essex, carried out by Wilson and Wilson, a visit was made to Howlands marsh, an Essex Wildlife Trust Reserve, near St. Osyth on July 23rd 1998. This survey was collated by MarLIN as part of a data collation contract for species on the provisional list of nationally important marine features (Lieberknecht et al. 2004).</dc:description>
