  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">This report details the findings of a diving survey undertaken in July 2009 investigating four seagrass Zostera marina beds within Plymouth Sound and Estuaries SAC. The main aim of the survey was to obtain reliable, quality data on the following attributes: plant density, mean longest leaf length, epiphyte cover, cover of macroalgae on the substratum and presence or absence of 'wasting disease'. The dataset in the report contains analysis of Zostera marina beds in Plymouth Sound. The attributes analysed are Mean density and leaf length; Characteristic species or epiphytic community; Wasting disease (Labyrinthula so., leaf infection scores); and Nutrient status or green algal mat. A comparison of this data was then made with historical and recent data available to identify and quantify any temporal changes in the attributes for the Zostera beds.</dc:description>
