<dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">MSDS Marine Ltd undertook a diver survey on an unidentified wooden wreck in Broady Cove, Cornwall. Finds from the location were recovered and analysed. In March 2022, MSDS Marine were appointed to the Historic England framework agreement to provide archaeological services in relation to marine protection. Under the framework MSDS Marine were commissioned by Historic England to undertake an undesignated site assessment on an unidentified wooden wreck site in Broady Cove, Cornwall. The site was identified by Mark Pearce, Licensee for the Coronation Protected Wreck. The wreck was a candidate for designation under the Protection of Wrecks Act 1973. A desk-based assessment was completed by MSDS Marine prior to a diving survey. The diving assessment and subsequent assessment of finds did not identify the presence, or likely presence, of a wrecked vessel. The finds are believed to have originated from vessel at anchor over a number of centuries. It is not recommended that the site be afforded statutory protection at this time.</dc:description>
