  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">Marine benthic species abundance data from phase I and II habitat surveys of the Helford Estuary. Most of the site was surveyed at Phase 1 level coupled with an assessment of quality based on the surveyors experience and the presurvey information. Previously unsurveyed areas near Greatwood Quay and around Penarrow Point (west side of the Fal) and between Turnaware Point and Messack Point (east side of Fal ) were considered at Phase 2 level. This dataset was collated as part of a Joint Nature Conservation Commitee (JNCC) contract.</dc:description>
