  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">Assessment of the site known as The Diamond, following an application by M.Bowyer that it be designated under the Protection of Wrecks Act (1973). This record encompasses the assessment made by the Archaeological Diving Unit (ADU) based on a dive inspection/ROV and geophysical survey carried out in 2001; and desk-based study of, and earlier dives on the site made by Mr Bowyer and his associates, and which resulted in a site plan. Although the ADU did not recommend designation, the vessel was designated under the Act in 2002. The finds listed were those recovered prior to the ADU inspection and are listed in the designation application. Coordinates for the site are derived from the RCAHMW record of the wreck, site depth and the size of the study area are not specified in the ADU report.</dc:description>
