<dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">Offshore and nearshore temperature collected by a variety of means (data loggers, human observers) at a variety of intervals (some regular daily measurements). The Coastal Temperature Network (CTN) exists as a separate data set but is imported into LSDM (Laboratory Sampling Database Management system) via Sapphire user-interface. The LSDM also holds records of offshore temperatures. Includes data provided to Cefas by Port Authorities and power stations. The CTN comprises 38 fixed stations, some of which have records dating back to 1892.</dc:description>
