<dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">Wessex Archaeology was commissioned to undertake an archaeological assessment of geophysical survey data as part of the heritage impact monitoring process implemented for aggregate extraction Area 472. The assessed data comprised sidescan sonar and multibeam bathymetry; the review included an assessment of the current data in addition to the results of the previous archaeological assessments and monitoring reports. The principal aim of this report is to provide an archaeological monitoring review of known and unknown archaeological sites; and to assess the area for any new sites and anomalies of potential archaeological interest within the licence area and 500m buffer zone. The report also includes a five-year review summary and recommendations on future mitigation. No anomalies of definite archaeological potential were identified in Area 472 or within the 500m buffer zone during this assessment and as such no Archaeological Exclusion zones are recommended for Area 472.</dc:description>
