<dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">Sabellaria alveolata presence records from north Cornwall. It was not necessary, particularly after the new settlement was well established to visit Duckpool every month. The dates chosen were those on which the lowest, or almost the lowest tides of the month were predicted. On both the January and December 1971 visits the stream flowing down the Coombe Valley was so swollen after days of heavy rain that it was impossible reach the south side rocks. In both months the only observations made were with binoculars and a telescope from the boulder bank, and from the cliff near Steeple Point. Photography was used extensively.</dc:description>
