EC Habitats Directive: Sea pen faunal communities can be found in some very sheltered examples of Annex 1 type Large shallow inlets and bays, and in Scandinavian fjords. UK Biodiversity Action Plan: Mud in deep water (Habitat Action Plan).
 
 This data was used by the advice of Natural England in the paper
 LUMB, C. 2011. Evidence on the distribution and quality of mud-related features in the Eastern Irish Sea. A paper presented to the ISCZ Project Team and Regional Stakeholder Group.
 
 This paper provided evidence on the distribution of mud related features in the North East Irish Sea.
 
 Due to the evidence review and assesment by Lumb C(2011) this layer should be used in the place of the data provided through the DEFRA lead contract MB102.</dc:description>
