<dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">Iberdrola has awarded GEOxyz a contract to provide annual maintenance services to East Anglia One (EA1) during 2025. The Scope of Work (SoW) applies to Iberdrola offshore windfarm sites located within Iberdrolaâ??s UK Hub. The East Anglia One windfarm is situated 43 km off the Suffolk coast and has 102 wind turbines installed on 3-legged jacket foundations and one offshore substation installed on a jacket foundation.
The work comprises the provision of inspection, maintenance, and repair services for the windfarmâ??s Balance of Plant (BoP) subsea assets of the Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) foundations (FOU), Offshore Substation (OFSS), and cables. The work overview is described as follows:
â?¢ ROV inspection, maintenance, and repair for the wind turbine (WTG) subsea structures (FOU) and the offshore substation (OSS) subsea structures, including j-tubes and cable protection systems.
â?¢ Geophysical seabed surveys at the base of the FOU and OSS structures, and along inter-array subsea cable (IAC) routes. Details on requirements can be found in EA1-OAM-LA-IBR-244877 - Rev 01 - East Anglia 1 - Subsea (Geophysical Survey) Task Register.
The geophysical seabed survey scope of work encompasses Multibeam Echo Sounder (MBES) and Side-Scan Sonar (SSS) surveys for EA1â??s 102 Inter-Array Cables (IAC) and 103 wind turbine generator (WTG) foundations, performed by GeoSurveyor XXII, to:
â?¢ Enable periodic monitoring of scour around the installed subsea structures.
â?¢ Assess potential scour damage.
â?¢ Provide updated information on the burial status of installed cables.</dc:description>
