<dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">Part of the larger 'England's Historic Seascapes' project, funded through the Aggregate Levy Sustainability Fund (ALSF) and distributed by English Heritage (EH). This part of the project characterised the historic coastal, inter-tidal and marine zone 'land'scapes between Southwold and Clacton in Suffolk, extending seaward to the Median line with Holland. The characterisation is intented to inform both coastal and marine management and planning. Approximate site coordinates for the NE and SE extents of the study area are given here, and derived from comparison of the character areas map in the project report with SeaZone mapping data. The full study area is shown in the project report which is available via the Archaeology Data Service website - ads.ahds.ac.uk</dc:description>
