  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">Meteorological observations originating from Met Office built ship-borne autonomous marine observing systems, produced hourly from any given position on the ship's track/route for weather forecasting as part of the long term climatological record. Coverage is global but predominantly in UK waters. Measurements include mean sea level pressure, air temperature and humidity (with capabilities for sea surface temperature (SST) and wind speed, wind direction and max gust speed from a limited number of systems). On occasion there may be gaps in the dataset.</dc:description>
