  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">Field survey using the National Vegetation Classification (NVC) methodology (Rodwell, 2000) was used to record and map the vegetation of saltmarsh and other habitats along The Wash candidate Special Area of Conservation (cSAC) from July to October 2001 and July to August 2002. Saltmarshes were surveyed from the River Nene to Gibraltar Point including Lutton, Nene, Gedney, Holbeach Bombing Range, Decoy Outfall, Fosdyke and Fosdyke Wash, Scalp and Cots Marshes, Kirton Marsh, Freiston Low Marsh, Leverton and Toft Marsh. This report presents the survey results for these sites.</dc:description>
