2011 Recreation: Important areas for surfing around Grampian dataset https://portal.medin.org.uk/portal/start.php?tpc=010_8e8d55669dd77311b7bbcb7cdce88514 In order to better understand the nature, extent and intensity of interactions amongst coastal users, Marine Scotland asked the Local Coastal Partnerships to collect spatial data not already represented in national datasets. This map shows important areas for surfing around Grampian. It was created by the East Grampian Local Coastal Partnership, and covers the area of sea out to 12 miles. The source was from a commercial kite surfing company and represents a small part of the Grampian Region. There are other forms of surfing which have not been captured and so the data set is incomplete. 20130131 20110921
