  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">This collection comprises images and documents, including site records, of an archaeological monitoring which was carried out during the construction of a tidal exchange structure at the RSPB Bowers Marsh Reserve, Basildon, Essex, including the opportunity to record a section through a seawall. Work was carried out by Essex County Council Field Archaeology Unit in September 2011. The archaeological monitoring did not identify any archaeological features other than the extant seawall (EHER 45783), which predates 1777.</dc:description>
